Being Fit in Middle Age May Protect Against Depression

A study published on June 27 2018 on the Journal of the American Medical Association(JAMA Pyschiatry)showed that "Physical Fitness In Middle Age May Be Associated With Lower Risk Of Later-Life Depression, Death From Cardiovascular Disease." The study revealed that "people in the highest" fitness category "were 16 percent less likely to have depression, 61 percent less likely to have cardiovascular illness without depresion, and 56 percent less likely to die from cardiovascular disease after becoming depressed," when compared to people "in the lowest fitness category."
